⚖️ Demands of Al-Shehab Human Rights Center:
Al-Shehab confirms that the continued concealment of these citizens and the denial of their families’ right to know the truth constitutes a blatant and grave violation of all international human rights instruments, and it further intensifies the systematic psychological and social suffering of the families. Accordingly, the Center calls for:
Immediate disclosure of their fate: Urging the Public Prosecutor and the relevant authorities to urgently reveal the locations and fate of all forcibly disappeared persons from North Sinai.
Serious and independent investigation: Opening fair and impartial investigations into the circumstances surrounding the disappearance of each individual, and holding those responsible for these unlawful violations accountable.
The right to know the truth: Ensuring families’ right to be reassured about their loved ones and ending the prolonged torment between hope and fear.
Stop the crime entirely: Ending the policy of enforced disappearance definitively, releasing all arbitrarily detained persons, and ensuring that no citizen is subjected to detention outside the framework of the law.
