Continued Enforced Disappearance of Citizen Mohamed Soliman Eid Fayad Since October 2015

Al-Shehab Human Rights Center monitors the continued disappearance of citizen Mohamed Soliman Eid Fayad, 45 years old, residing in the Al-Sulaimiyah district, Abu Al-Abbas Street, since 15 October 2015, without any disclosure of his whereabouts or fate to date.

According to information received by the Center, Mohamed, who is unemployed, has had no news since that date. No information has been available about his whereabouts or legal status, amid his continued disappearance for more than 11 years. This has raised fears for his life and safety, as his family suffers ongoing humanitarian distress due to the persistent uncertainty surrounding his fate.

Al-Shehab Human Rights Center expresses its deep concern about Mohamed Soliman Eid Fayad’s continued disappearance over these years, stressing that keeping his fate unknown and depriving his family of knowing his whereabouts require urgent intervention by the competent authorities.

The Center calls on the Public Prosecutor and the relevant authorities to immediately disclose his whereabouts and fate, conduct serious and independent investigations into the circumstances of his disappearance, ensure his physical and psychological safety, enable his family to be reassured about him, and release him immediately if it is established that he has been detained without any legal basis.
