Continued Disappearance of Citizen Ahmed Moussa Ahmed Ali Since October 2018 Without Disclosure of His Fate

Al-Shehab Human Rights Center monitors the continued disappearance of citizen Ahmed Moussa Ahmed Ali since 16 October 2018, without any disclosure of his whereabouts or fate to date.

According to information received by the Center, news of Ahmed has been cut off since that date, and no information has been available regarding his whereabouts or the circumstances surrounding his disappearance, amid his continued absence for more than eight years. This has raised fears for his life and safety, as his family suffers ongoing humanitarian hardship due to the persistent uncertainty surrounding his fate.

Al-Shehab Human Rights Center expresses its profound concern regarding the continued disappearance of Ahmed Moussa Ahmed Ali over these years, stressing that keeping his fate unknown and depriving his family of knowing his whereabouts require urgent intervention by the competent authorities to uncover the circumstances of his disappearance.

The Center calls on the Public Prosecutor and the relevant authorities to immediately disclose his whereabouts and fate, conduct a serious and independent investigation into the circumstances of his disappearance, ensure his physical and psychological safety, enable his family to be reassured about him, and release him immediately if it is established that he has been detained without any legal basis.
