🟥 The continued enforced disappearance of citizen "Mohamed Mahmoud Mahmoud Abdel Jawad" since February 2024

The Al-Shehab Human Rights Center condemns the ongoing crime of enforced disappearance against citizen Mohamed Mahmoud Mahmoud Abdel Jawad – a 50-year-old who works at the Youth Center in Fayoum Governorate. He was arrested on February 4, 2024, from the Al-Marj area in Cairo, before being taken to an unknown location until now.

🔹 His family has reported that the victim suffers from diabetes and high blood pressure, which poses a serious risk to his life given his continued disappearance and the lack of information about his detention location or health conditions.

🔹 The family added that they have knocked on all official doors to determine his fate without any response or communication from the relevant authorities, which has increased their fears for his safety.

🔹 The victim is a father of four children who, along with their mother, have been living in a state of anxiety and psychological distress for more than eight months due to the absence of their father and the complete lack of news about him.

The Al-Shehab Center holds the Ministry of Interior and security agencies fully responsible for his safety and life, and demands:

- Immediate disclosure of his detention location.

- Enabling him to communicate with his family and lawyer.

- Providing urgent medical care due to his critical health condition.
