🔴 Urgent Call – Lawyer Khaled Badawy, husband of the detained human rights activist Huda Abdel Moneim

Mr. Khaled Badawy said:

"Yesterday, I submitted for the (tenth or more) time a request for medical release for my wife, Ms. Huda Abdel Moneim. She has spent nearly seven years in prison, serving a five-year sentence that ended on 30/10/2023, after which she was recharged with two new cases, one of which has been referred to trial and is currently being heard on the same charges she was previously tried for regarding the same matter for the same duration.

It is worth mentioning that I learned from her during my last visit (as her lawyer and husband) that she suffered two heart crises last week while in her cell between two in the morning and dawn, where no door was opened for her and no one heard her cries for help!! Were it not for God's care alone and His power, we would have been asking God to save her from this and from all distress.

For this reason, I submitted a request for the release of the 66-year-old lawyer and human rights activist, a member of the National Council for Human Rights (which did not mention her in its appeal submitted to the President for the pardon of prisoners). It was said that directives were issued to study their cases, and we ask God for forgiveness and healing for us and for them, and for a quick relief.
