The killing of citizen Mohamed Adel Abdelaziz (35 years old) occurred on the evening of Saturday, August 23, 2025, after a security force opened fire on him in the Qusiya Center in Asyut Governorate, according to local sources.

According to the sources, the police forces transported the victim's body from the scene of the incident to an unknown location, without notifying the public prosecutor or allowing his family to know his whereabouts or retrieve him.

It is noted that Abdelaziz had been working on a land reclamation project covering 50 acres in the Western Desert for seven months, and he resided in the village of Arab Al-Jahma, which he passes through daily on his way to the western Qusiya checkpoint.

This incident has sparked widespread shock and anger, as it represents an extrajudicial killing and reveals the ongoing violations against citizens without accountability or judicial oversight.
