Human Rights Campaign for International Day Against Enforced Disappearance
Friday 29 August 2025

On the occasion of the International Day for the Victims of Enforced Disappearances, Al-Shehab Human Rights Center re-publishes this report, believing in the necessity of shedding light on one of the most heinous violations that individuals face, which constitutes a crime against dignity, freedom, and the right to life.
The crime of enforced disappearance does not expire with the passage of time, and it represents a double suffering for the disappeared and their families, who are deprived of their natural right to know the fate of their loved ones. Through the re-publication of this report, the center reaffirms its commitment to its human rights and humanitarian duty to document these crimes, advocate for the victims and their families, and call on the international community to assume its responsibilities in ending these practices and ensuring they are not repeated.
