🔴 Death of accountant Mohram Fouad Ali Azab hours after his arrest
Accountant Mohram Fouad Ali Azab (50 years old) – owner of a marble factory in the Shak El-Thuban area – resides in the Al-Basateen neighborhood of Cairo, originally from the village of Damanhour El-Wahsh, Zefta Center in Gharbia Governorate.
He was arrested from his home in Al-Basateen on Wednesday, August 19, and his death was announced the following day, Thursday, August 20. His family received his body early Thursday at 2:30 AM, without allowing for a funeral prayer or announcement in the mosques, and only his family participated in his burial.
The deceased was known for his good reputation among the people of his village, and he has a son and a daughter studying at university. He had left his village after the events of 2013.
Al-Shehab Center holds the Egyptian authorities fully responsible for the crime of his killing, and calls for an urgent and independent investigation, as well as accountability for those responsible for this heinous crime.
