To the free people of the world, to the conscience of humanity, to those with opinions and decisions, to the scholars, to human rights organizations, to international organizations, and to all people...
We, the prisoners in Badr-3 prison, send you these messages that express the extent of our suffering and pain, and what we are subjected to in terms of psychological torture - we are in enforced disappearance by all measures - we do not see the sun, and we do not breathe fresh air. We know nothing about the outside world. We have not seen our children or wives for years that have passed. We left them as young children and now they have become young adults and men. We have not had the joy of seeing them even from behind the bars.
What kind of crime is this against humanity? Do you realize the extent of the psychological pain that drives a young man in his prime to commit suicide?
The situation has become so dire for dozens of prisoners that they have resorted to suicide in the hope of escaping this hell.
An assistant to the Minister of Interior and his forces entered our prison to attack and intimidate us. He arrogantly and recklessly said to us, "You are five hundred, and you won't make a difference with Sisi. We can kill you all in one hour." In the face of the prisoners' firmness and steadfastness, he was shocked and retreated.
Military rule is a hell for all Egyptians, and it is the right of Egyptians to live free like all advanced nations. Everyone must rise up to overthrow this corrupt and oppressive regime that has been sitting on our chests for ten years.
A few hundred isolated detainees stood firm against their oppression and threats, and the chants for freedom and dignity rose. This is not only for us, but for every free and honorable Egyptian.
We continue to stand against them until our goals are achieved, with the help of God.
We need your support for our just cause. We will live as dignified people, or die as dignified people. (And God is victorious in all matters, but most people do not know).
